Also, are the ocean view residences the premium lots, or is that something else?
Houses cannot be moved. You can build any house on a premium lot and move in the family you want. Or you can take away the new house room by room and then rebuild your house on it.

Premium lots are the bigger ones at the Oceanside and on the island. You do n o t get the ocean view with every pre-made house. On the island there is no ocean view at all.

Does anyone know why we don't get the fences on the Island? It's not really good enough that we pay more for a premium lot and we don't get half the better stuff just cos it's on the island.

I have two premium lots left, one on the mainland and one on the island. Once I have saved enough SP I would like to put a scandinavian house on one and the Latin villa on the other. Would either keep the sea view on the mainland?
Presumably I lose the Latin wall on the Island, what about the path? And does the Scandinavian house lose anything on the Island?

I built both the Scandinavian house & villa on mainland premium lots and neither have an ocean view :( I was pretty disappointed to be honest.

Hi all,
I'm new to this game and loving it!
I do understand the difference between standard, premium and island lots, but what exactly do you mean by sea view?

Welcome to the forum, Nkara :)

The sea view shows a beach and moving waves behind the fence in the background. Our sims cannot go there, but I like to have houses with this view :)

Ah ok, I get it. Thanks! Love to see everyone's houses and this post with premades is really helpful when you go overboard with remakes and just want the old original house back. :)

I've made some videos of Houseboats, I hope they help picking out the right one for you... :)

The Tiny Tightpocket (20 SP - small): http://youtu.be/tGwlUlqIzQk
The Cavernous Cruiser (40 SP - small): http://youtu.be/u8UCYEyLkW4
The Pint-sized Prince (65 SP - large): http://youtu.be/RV9aT_4tE40
The Royal Wavecutter (100 SP - large): http://youtu.be/LGsCVWyYWIE

Small houseboats are 12 by 6 squares.
Large houseboats are 18 by 8 squares.

I started after the haunted house so am trying to create it. I have managed most from the pictures earlier in this thread but I need a clear picture of the kitchen units and sink. If anyone has an unaltered haunted house kitchen can they post a picture please.
