I hadn't realized that the royal was now the premium and whatever the 40 sp one was still the economy. I was gone and came back to find out a new update.....

I don't think I like this renovator's dream. Personally not for me but I can see it being amazing to other players.
I consider the new two- and three-story houses "renovator's dreams" as well. Too much red for my taste in the three-story. I've already reconfigured some of the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and the first floor is redone.

I like the reno dream for an artist because of the separate studio (or it could be for any of the hobbies, really), but maybe I'll save my SP and build it from scratch.

I think these new houses don't worth it....

Spending sp for empty houses we can build ourselves ???
That's insane....

For scandinavian house, I agreed to give sp because of furniture.... But without furniture, I prefer building my house and keeping sp for furniture to put in it.....

Does anyone know the grid for the two new houseboats? I was planning on getting a premium to totally remodel but if prince is same size I might just get away cheaper!

Looking at bloodcool's pictures, I think the tightpocket is 6 x 12 and the prince is 8 x 18. But remember, these are one story houseboats. The second story would cost 1 mil simoleons to add. Is it worth saving 20 SP?

Went ahead and built the unfurnished two-story house for 300 SP. I know, I'm crazy! Anyway, here are some photos. It looks like a classic suburban house. I don't like the interior doors (stained-glass) because they have mail slots in them. I will switch them out.

The windows are nice but I only have 36 SP so I would rather build something that has furniture! I built the Scandinavian house on the island finally, might try to move Arabella and all of her cats there when she retires.
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Thankies for all the pics everybudy. I can't tell you the number of times I've come back to this thread Bloodcool. Thanks to the new contributors too. I really like the new houses. They gave us that nice Christmas glitch to help... I'm just really really happy with everything.

There's only about 50-60 SPs worth of windows. I like the layout though, and the colors, and the fact that comes with some nice stairs. Just not sure if its worth 300 SPs without any regular furniture.
