Hi - has anyone found a way to have more than one cat. I want my single female to live on her houseboat with lots of cats - a kind of floating cat sanctuary.

Just a thought

Buy a cat for a sim, have the sim move in with the cat lady, then delete the sim.

If she now has two cats (as in two cats now on the property) u can now make a new sim with the space created by the deleted sim and try again.

Just a thought. It could be cats are like cars. Only one per household.

But I've seen a property with both a dog and a cat

Hmm that's a thought. I'll have to wait till I level up and can create a new Sim.

I think you can only have one cat and dog on the same property. When I moved a sim to a new location, her cat stayed on the old property until I relocated it to her. It seems that the animals are tied more to the properties than to specific people.

The game allows the same sim to own a cat and a dog. I bought a cat for my founder sim, who got the stray dog at the start of the game too. I haven't tried to buy any more cats or dogs for that family, but one of my neighbors has a cat and dog at the same house, and the dog is a breed from the pet store. So I don't know about multiple cats, but you should give it a try I'd love to see your cat lady if you're able to do it!

I tried to do that too when the pets were on a 50% sale but we are only allowed one type of pet per property i.e. one cat and one dog maximum per household
