Teen idol resources and mansion question

I have notice how fast the Fashion Design pays off but didn't realize the others were profitable also. I will get those Sims spread out more.

I was thinking though. I have found that having a Teen Idol constantly changing in and out of their swimwear produces one resource for the sign every 10-20mins or so (I've tried with preteens and adults and never got any). I therefore wonder if it would be more efficient having one teen do this (for as long as you can before getting bored), whilst any others do the actual music.

So after preteens on Frebreze we now get teens twirling in and out of clothes

The stork is on its way and the birthday cakes are being baked for my second teen.
A couple I plannend on getting married in the future just got married early so they could have a baby. So that did cost some extra lp.
When my teen is here I'm going to try the clothes swap to see what that gives. So far doing it with adults didn't yield any resources.
As a matter of fact no resources have dropped at all, only got them through the music hobby.

Mine yielded magma embers and magazine photoshoots but I didnt get much radio interview and movie ones

Quick question. To those who has the teen town sign already built, do you still see drops for the resource for it? I built the sign a while back and it has been days since I last see a resource drop for it.

I've not seen any sign resources drop since completing my sign. Still quite a few of those useless monument pick axes, but nothing for the sign. Makes sense since you no longer need it.

The woodworking is really good too. Ghost hunting used to be the best, still is, if you can get used to the shoddy haunted item rechare times and the extra ghosts.

Changing in and out of swim gear works well to get the resources.
My teen got 3 resources from the music hobby in 3 days.From changing in and out of his swim gear, for about a hour in total during the day, he got 8 (!) resources. Even if this was just a lucky strike, it can get any worse then the music hobby with 1 resource per day.So I will have 1 teen making music and the other changing clothes.

I completed the sign yesterday and got a magazine shoot resource this morning. Worthless now - I would rather have one of the rare ones from the mystery island.

I tried the teen changing thing and did get a resource within a few minutes. I was about to use my LPs to just finish up the last 20 or so, but I guess I'll keep going for the resources. Then give them all a break!
