Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but figured it was better than starting a new one... I just received a reply to my "no sound" ticket submitted to FM! Oddly, the ticket they responded to is not the ticket where I submitted the problem, but it's the ticket where I wrote to them AFTER we resolved it here. I wanted to let them know they could cancel my ticket so they could move on to help somebody else.
Following is their response (which appears to be pretty boilerplate) - not even sure they actually read the email that said it had been resolved??? After their response is my original email / ticket string... They must be completely overwhelmed, I have no idea why they would even write to me now, 2 months later, especially after I told them we fixed it! Strange...

Problem has been resolved. I got some help from an SFP forum. The iOS7.0.3 update apparently disables the sound in the game and you have to manually turn off the iPad mute sliders, re-set them and re-lock them.

It's been 48 hours and I still have no sound in my game. My teen is almost done with the teen idol quest and I haven't heard a single note. There are no sound effects by any of the Sims, or their pets or their appliances and electronics. They dance silently at the night club. My alerts are not working to let me know a task is finished. My sound was working fine Thursday night, until the Road to fame quest started. Since then, nothing. It's really frustrating - I can't hear the pets when they find things, I can't hear the cars beep to collect Simoleans when they are driving around, I can't hear the sims talking, nothing!

I play SFP on an iPad last night when teen idol started it disabled all in game sounds. Its not the ipad. All non game sounds work. I cannot get alerts or hear the music my teen is playing. There are no sound effects and no Sims music in the background. I have rebooted the iPad and it is all up to date. Please advise how to fix the In game sound that was disabled when we uploaded the teen idol update. I am not the only player this happened to. I have friends who play on ipad and their game sound is not working either. Thank you.
