Goal Won't Complete

I have a problem. I have the goal "compose 9 pieces of music". I have completed 13 new pieces of music. 5 I have completed in a neighbors town. How can I fix this?

It might be one of those goals you can't do at a neighbor's. If you did 13, that means you did 8 at home and 5 outside? Can you do one more at home? Then you get the next instrument and do 3 more. Hopefully it won't repeat. I got lucky, only had 1 repeat per instrument so far... I am up to the singing part and she just repeated the backup vocals so I hope the next one will be different.

The thing is, is that it shows up in my hobbies as complete. I unlocked the instruments even in the neighbor's town.

They should specify 'Write 9 'different' piece of music' or whatever the number was.

When you get this goal, you have done 6 already for the previous goal. So there are 3 more to write.
There are 15 pieces in total.

yup, that's what i wanted to find out... did Dana has 6 pieces of music when she received the goal or she has more than 9 pieces...

anyway, i think it is largely due to 5 pieces of music were obtained at neighbor town where these 5 pieces of music does not count towards the goal target even though it add to the hobby collection. It is logical since at neighbor town we can only see & check on neighbor goals only...

Yeah, they really are worded very badly.
Once you've done the first three notes, it should say "Great, now write 3 more songs using the bass guitar".

If it wasn't for this forum, I probably would have continued to use the keyboard to write music. It isn't very clear that you need to use the next instrument each time.

Yeah I know, but the goals don't say that. They just say "Write 6 pieces of music". They don't say each has to be different, nor do they say they count the ones you've already done.
