I only have 19 Sims so far, 16 adults, 1 toddler, 1 pre-teen and 1 teen. My teen is the only one who started as a baby and was grown from toddler to pre-teen to fulfill goals. Dora was a toddler for a couple of days and I had fun making her play with Molly, my permanent toddler. But she grew up so she could do school and karate goals and then, when they announced the teen idol thing, I wanted her to go for that but I wanted a pre-teen, too, so Molly's family adopted Arthur. So far, he is my perment pre-teen. I want more Sims! I need to make Cuthbert as as adult Sim, to live in the haunted house but I want Oliver and Alicia to have a baby, too, so I have another toddler. Then I might adopt another pre-teen and teen, so Arthur and Dora have some company their own ages, and save the rest of my slots for adults.
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

I have 27 sims. 5 preteens, 1 teen, 1 toddler, 20 adults.
I want one more teen for my ghost hunting couple wh live in the haunted house and then that's it for young sims. The rest of mine will be adults. I'm thinking about sending my 2 preteen boys away to boarding school :D

I have 38 sims total, thanks to the baby boom glitch...3 babies (triplet girls), 6 toddlers, 4 preteens, 3 teens and 22 adults. I think the babies and toddlers are so adorable! Most of the time I hibernate them, but when I have the time I wake them up and watch their cuteness! I wanted lots of families in my town...if I'm ever able to add more sims I will probably add more toddlers and preteens, I don't mind the skipping. :D

Used to have 2 pre-teens and 3 toddlers, with 22 adults...

Due to teen update, i have to:
Grow 1 female toddler to teen...
Then I want to have a teen romance, so i grew a male pre-teen to teen.

Then I find that it is strange that the female teen's brother remains as toddler (when both were actually born between days), so I grew him up to pre-teen

so now I have 2 teens, 2 pre-teens and 1 toddlers... i would most like make 1-2 more kids (toddlers) when I unlock my next available Sim limit

26 sims altogether, 2 preteens and 24 adults.

I had them from the toddler update and didn't add any more because I was annoyed that I couldn't do much with them or things just cost too much (over 100LPs for toys!) :x . By the time the toddler items were cheaper the kiddies were already preteens.

I actually haven't bothered to get the teen update because it seems too much has been taken away and too little added. So I'll just wait till I'm level 52 and try to use that baby boom glitch that is in the mystery island update :)

I have 24 sims at the moment, 23 adults and 1 teen. First he was my preteen for goals but then I needed a teen so he grew up.
I'm planning on having him a sister that will stay preteen and another couple will have a toddler.
That way I have one of each for goals and the maximum amount of adults for production.
Contemplating if I will add another adult or I will add a kid when I reach lvl 44.
My plan was to wait till lvl 52 beforte adding more kids so I could save up cash and lp's.
But skipping goals can become expensive so rethinking that.
Plus I must say that the toddlers are cute.

I currently have 16 sims total, and only 4 of them are kids: 2 toddlers, 1 preteen, and 1 teen. I intend to age one of those preteens to teen, and one toddler to preteen. Then I will still need 1 more preteen, and I think I'll make a little sister for my teen idol 8-)

I am holding out hope that there will be a future update that enables teens to age to adult, and then I will play a purely generational town. I do like the preteens and teens a lot, so it's possible that I will have a few more than I've currently planned. But for the meanwhile, I do need plenty of worker class sims to earn funds for construction plans I've got in mind 8-)

Due to the bugs there are 33 Sims in my town. 26 adults, 2 teens, 3 preteens and 2 toddlers.

I played The Sims 2 some time ago, and I've been a bit disappointed about the sim limit and that the children can't grow up in SFP. Now my first sim child grew up, the second teen is an "instant"-teen. Not sure, whether another preteen will grow up. My toddlers are not ready for growing up, yet :)

8-) But I grew up to a forums sim teen with this post

Congrats! I became a teen too ;)

I initially aged my toddler boy to a preteen but turned him into a teen in the end because I didn't like the way he looked  My 2 preteens are both girls, and the skipping looks even worse in a boy!
