for those of you still wondering what the §777,777 item is:
it is a pee and vomit (PNV) cleaner. and unless you let your sims get low enough to,pee or shake your device you wont need it. it is also FREE in the 2 story mansion.

here is info and it is unlocked at level 24.

note: if the base gets lost somehow (like it did with mine), you cant move or put it into inventory.
i have not tried to delete room its in yet to see if it disappears or corrects itself.
also note that it does not block sim from moving through doors, though they will pause at it.

The one in my 2 story mansion is broken I think. I can move it around, put it in and out of inventory no problem but when I shake my device ana make my sim vomit, the thing doesn't clean it up. I end up having to clean it manually.

did you make sure the PNV was facing away from wall with NO obstacles including sim, AND on the same floor as the vomit ? it will even travel outdoors if there is a clear path !

I guess I don't need to spend my Simoleons on that - my Sims are never that low, unless it's for a goal (send somebody to work with low hygiene kind of thing - to get them low enough, I send them to a neighbor with depressed Sims and no PNV so I mop it up myself and then my poor, smelly Sim, goes to work. I have not attempted to shake my iPad to make somebody barf, that just seems too mean! Bad enough I make them garden all night and never sleep, don't need to make them sick, too, then they would really hate me!
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

I have never used one before! Although I have bought a couple to bump up my town value when I was a bit short of a goal :)

Yup. I even moved it and put it in the middle of an empty room before shaking the ipad  No go.

EDIT - It magically now works after I put it on a different floor and moved it back. Even better, while it was cleaning, I moved the base to a different floor and the client unit climbed the spiral staircase to get back to the base. That is AWESOME!

I find it easier just to jump in a dirty pool; that soon depletes their hygiene!

Mine won't jump into a dirty pool at home, although I have never tried it at a neighbor's. I have tried a couple of times just to see what would happen and they stand there shaking their heads and saying uh-uh. As soon as I make them clean the pool they will all jump in. Fastidious Sims, I have!

That's interesting, mine will.
Once or twice I've sent a sim or two diving and forgot to clean the pool (especially at night when it's harder to see), so when they've finished they are in the red in the hygiene! - So it can be annoying, but it helps with the "send a dirty sim to work" goal.

I also think their hygiene depletes by "clean(ing) up" a knocked over trash can, but not by much.

Cleaning up a knocked over trash can does deplete your hygiene down to smoky brown if you repeat the action, maybe around 10 times? Besides, it's fun!
