This morning I received an official request from FM for permission to link (some of) my blog pages into their zendesk support site. I think it's very unusual to have blog pages made by a fan linked into the official site. I'm both honoured and worried about this progress. Does it mean they'll be relying more and more on the help from fans?
By the way, I couldn't get any word from them about the state of the official forum or future plans unfortunately.
If they are using your organizational and technical skills then you might want to consider some sort of compensation. Sounds like they are getting you to do their work for free.
Yes! If they wish to link your work, besides giving you public credit, they ought to at least give you a number of SP & LP currency for your work.
Hmmm, now that is an idea. Since it's all "social" media... How about 1 SP per click? LOL!
Seriously though, I made and maintain the blog regardless of them linking or not. At least they asked!
I just saw this posted on the Get Satisfaction boards

"Lawsuit is the reason forum is down?
Where is the Real Racing 3 forum? It's been down for "temporary maintenance" for over a week now. (9-17-13) I would say it's down due to the impending lawsuit. They are trying to cover up the egregious actions by both EA and Firemonkeys. It truly would be a herculean effort to f*** up something more than this whole debacle. Over 300 US dollars for just one car? STFU
And I thank you. I will be here all week.
Just waiting for my cut of the settlement.
And goodnight!!
PS Why no phone number listed for Firemonkeys? Too scared to field calls from the customers I would wager. "
I knew people were upset but wow $300 for a virtual car? It's pandemonium over at Get Satisfaction. IMO Firemonkeys is trying to ride out the storm by avoiding the flood.
Myself I try to play SFP at my own speed and w/o in app purchases (except for those fish tanks, totally worth it).
Thank you again to Perturbee for opening this forum.
It's Friday past office hours and no forum. Going into week 3...
I don't believe the lawsuit post. Just wild guesswork, nothing substantial. It would hit the news if they were sued, just like EA was sued by the former NCAA athletes. (Which EA lost!) (Source: http://www.nbcnews.com/business/former- ... 6C10809666 )

I suspect many of us have, like me, done web searches with the hope of finding clues to this "maintenance" issue at the forum. I haven't found anything for FM though I may try the same sort of search for EA. All I could find was positive news (link posted to this forum) from the summer that FM had completed what sounds like some fairly substantial hiring at FM.
The mystery continues!

Forget the LP & SPs! Go for REAL CASH! Your extensive knowledge AND Service to their fanbase is worth many dollars/pounds. This forum has saved MANY of their customers/players from straying elsewhere and they owe you Big Time!
Fantastic Job BTW!
(OOPS!!! Sorry! Quotes got a bit Tangled)
Seriously-- your blog, your map, your hard work, your intelligent clarity = paid staff. It is quite the compliment to be asked to link to your blog because obviously it's a fabulous blog but it should have some rewards as well-- I'd say RT cash. You make things clear. It's like finding the missing manual or sheet of instructions. Congrats on the recognition. Shame on them for being incapable of producing it themselves. They must really be in quite the bind whatever it is...
