Divorce or delete?

Post by PaQuilter »

I have a married couple and I wanted to move one of the Sims out to a new house but it wouldn't let me because they are married. So last night I spent an hour having them complain and be rude to each other but their relationship status didn't change. Do I have to delete the Sim or am I missing something?

Once you've had them complain to each other enough times, a new option should come up saying "break up" or something like that (might be "divorce") - click on that.

Thank you so much. I didn't want to delete and start over because it takes so long to level up careers and hobbies. :D

Evidently this isn't working. After several hours of being rude, complaining, and cheating with someone else in front of his spouse their relationship still shows married. I filled out a Firemonkey Support Request form, but I won't hold my breath. I really don't want to delete him and start over.

I dunno if this will work for you but first I need to ask if you have a toddler in the house? I think as long as you have a wee baby, you wont be able to move out.

When my couple's marcus had his birthday, daddy Nick moved out of the house since mommy Emma is being overbearing and it worked. Try it then tell me what happens

Thank you for the help. After over an hour of being mean to each other, the blue bar started moving so I guess it does work. :)

It seems to me that the more romantic they remain to each other after being married the harder it is to break them up. I tested this theory in my game with two couples. The couple that had been married the longest and the most romantic took FOREVER, while the couple who just barely interacts with each other took almost no time at all. Of course, this could just be coincidence, but it's worth considering.

I think your theory is correct because this couple is one of my original couples and they interacted alot...until they got a dog...LOL

That's exactly what i notices too. It acts as if thé relationship level was going beyond 100% . When you reach 100%, if they continue to be nice to each others, it sort of goes to 101%, 102% and so on Which explains why it si so hard to make thé relationship decrease.
