The Sims Freeplay 2
What do you Simmers think? Will they make TSFP 2? Or is this as good as good The Sims gets for mobile devices? Would you even want a second one, Yes/No? I'm surprised EA haven't churned another one out yet.

Re: The Sims Freeplay 2
In a way, we're already there. Sims Freeplay today is very different to how it was two years ago. If they keep updating it, there will be no need for a sequel.MonkeyHandsLuke wrote:What do you Simmers think? Will they make TSFP 2? Or is this as good as good The Sims gets for mobile devices? Re: The Sims Freeplay 2
Considering the life-span of the regular Sims (about 5 years!) I doubt there is a SFP 2 on the horizon yet. I think that in order to maximize their revenue they'll try to keep SFP compatible with as many devices as possible before jumping onto a new version with higher hardware requirements.
They added Windows 8 mobile and BlackBerry 10 into the supported devices at the end of September, according to some websites. I don't have either, so I can't say how good or bad the porting to those devices is. This does make me wonder if the Win 8 mobile version is playable on a Win 8 desktop, but that aside.
Some of us know the flop Sims 3 for mobile was (it's still being sold!), SFP was the answer to the numerous complaints about Sims 3 for mobile. If you play it now it looks very very dated and simplistic.
SFP is still playable on 'older' devices, but the degrade in performance is certainly showing on iPod 4th gen. My Androids (oldest is now 3 years) have less performance degrading impact, provided that I keep my device optimized. (Read no bloated and memory draining FB app, for example)
I think there are a few more things in the pipeline before they will go to another version. Think of Teens growing up into adults, the empty non-useable lots on the island becoming a business or some resort thingy. And I'm sure there will be others. Players have already proven that the current sim limit isn't a performance issue. Even on my iPod I don't see any difference in performance with 31 sims versus 55 sims. The base game has the performance issues, not the sim count.
I'd rather have them address all the bugs before they "abandon" developing SFP further.

Re: The Sims Freeplay 2
I have Sims 3 for mobile - I never got into it at all. It was on my Gen2 iPod and it's also on my iPad. I don't like having to "jerk" my device to catch a fish and I don't find the whole cooking / recipe thing user friendly at all. Every once in awhile I go look at it to see if they changed anything, but no luck. I was playing Sims Social on FB, but I didn't like that either - I don't like begging non-players to participate and help build things.Perturbee wrote:SNIP

I had SFP from the beginning, but it didn't seem to get anywhere (it won't run on my iPod any longer, but fortunately, as soon as I got my iPad2, everything I had on my iPod synced to it, so I still have my original game on my newer device) - took too long to earn money to build houses and stuff and I only had 2 Sims, so I put it aside and went back to regular Sims for awhile. When they discontinued Sims Social, I saw on the EA forum that SFP had been turned over to another developer and that it was getting neighbor goals. I thought "oh boy, another stupid beg your non-player friends for stuff..." But over Labor Day weekend, I opened up my old game on my iPad and updated it - I update manually, so I missed all the updates from late 2012 to most of 2013. Once it updated and I started fiddling around with it, I was having fun - it was working, I was able to earn money, build things, make more Sims - and then I found this forum and that just made it so much better!! Glad I came back to SFP!
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Re: The Sims Freeplay 2
i would rather have "my sims", which is more interactive and has emotions. plus you can visit others towns and interact and i think even help with goals. there are a few types out there for pc wishnit were mobile.

Re: The Sims Freeplay 2
I agree with what Perturbee said about another one not being on the horizon yet. Also I don't see what they'd do for another one unless they made it a different game entirely, maybe played more like the other Sims versions made for the computer.
But at this point, no I don't want another one! LOL I've only just got started with this one so personally I'm not ready yet! But of course if they came out with another one I'd most likely get it! haha

Sims 3 never came out on the Aussie iTunes...
Maybe they'll just do a Sims 4 port? It looks like Freeplay's it's testing ground anyway.

I think it'll be interesting to see where they take it, if anything. Doesn't mean I'm ready necessarily ready for it. I still think they probably have a few more updates in mind this one.
Lol I remember the Sims 3 mobile, that was terrible! I also brought the version for the ds, I think it was. Sue Donim, I never played 'My Sims.' I know it used to be really popular and then it became really unpopular
They usually always seem to do a version for portable devices after the newc pc one has come out and almost always a poor quality, well you wouldn't call it a port, they hardly resemble the pc version!

I think this game still has plenty of room for expansion. I would like to see the Sim count increase, more lots available, both on the mainland and island (Perturbee, I really like your idea of a resort business on the island!), and I know many people on this forum have talked about a restaurant business on their wish list. I think they could expand beyond the real estate office and give us more standard and premium lots and business opportunities. I wouldn't abandon this version, unless the newer one was way cooler and way less buggy.

Re: The Sims Freeplay 2
I want a police station and a hospital for employment purposes. I want to be able to redecorate the park and and maybe the other community lots. I want the skate ramp to be moveable (first thing I would put in my community park) and have longer interactions with it. I want an option in the community pool to be "swim laps" to keep them busy. I want them to be able stroll or jog along the path in the park. I want everybody to be able to hold hands while walking or sitting. I want more sims!Lishws720 wrote:I think this game still has plenty of room for expansion.
