Re: Resources and Costs for Famous Sim Town Sign
Best results I've gotten was to give up"trying" and I started doing random things..AS SOON as I did that, I got drops. For example: feeding the fish, calling a friend, cleaning the pool. Its still slow going but not AS bad. Good luck.

I actually have lots of LP from hobbying I just don't want to spend it on the sign haha!! I already spent over 100 to do the first part of the quest now I'm being tight lol. I think I've got about 500 now but I want to spend them on new pets and some LP furniture

Re: Resources and Costs for Famous Sim Town Sign
Why do they have to take all the fun out of these challenges. I have all the notes & thought that was it, but now it seems like it will take forever to get the resources needed to build the sign & get the teen idol mansion. What ever I seem to do I cannot get any recourses, It would be better if there was a logic to collecting. But as it just seems random it takes away all the fun & just becomes a chore. I refuse to spend money so have limited lp's which I am reluctant to spend on this.... so will just have to plod on & hope I get lucky before I get too old..... any tips will be gratefully received

Always look for the positive

Trying having your teen idol change clothes from everyday to swimsuit in front of a closet. I got more of the resources that way, than by music. The only one that doesn't come up very much is the film clapboard - the one you get when you get the 3 drum notes. I got so frustrated that I set a goal that if I got the darn thing to where I could finish the sign for 30 LP or less, I would do it. After having them (I have 2 teen idols) play all week and collecting enough sets to have all the strobe lights, I went wardrobe changing last night for 2 hours... finally collected all the microphones and got it down to where all I was missing was the clapboards - 30 LP worth so I said the heck with it, spent the LP and started building my mansion. My teens are back in school today and my stress level went down about 90%. I had my 4 wood workers working to earn the 30 LP (they can get 3 LP an hour if I do the 4 minute thing for a while). LP is back up where it was before I blew the 30 on the sign.dichantra wrote:Why do they have to take all the fun out of these challenges. I agree that this is becoming less a game and more work. I have been playing hours a day and don't seem to accomplish anything. very frustrating.dichantra wrote:Why do they have to take all the fun out of these challenges. total 75 LP, have not earned back, but near already.
Re: Resources and Costs for Famous Sim Town Sign
Decided to grind for lps during the weekend to get the sign finished faster.
I want it finished before the next update (and hope that that update doesn't contain more resources
)
Already spend 18 lps for a second (temporary) teen and 15 lps to get the sign to lvl 2
Got all the other resources except the cameo thing. I only have that drop once. Still need 14 of those which equals 42 lp.
So if complete it now it would cost me 75 lps in total. Going to give my teens 2 more days to collect some cameo's and then finish it.
They sure didn't make it easy to get the mansion.

Kindle people are getting the update now - I'd get your woodworkers and skaters busy earning LP as fast as you can so you have enough for the sign before the other devices get their update.hiser1974 wrote:Decided to grind for lps during the weekend to get the sign finished faster.
