You build houses by clicking on the lot and building what you can afford. If you can build certain houses you can get items or furniture that you cannt get until later so look at the furniture and items on counters as much as the house in the beginning.

Mummy and Werewolf are costumes you purchase through the Mall or the Dress shop. Those are places that have to be built

Hobbies are a good way to earn LP. Cooking, Bowling, Spell Casting and Ghost Hunting all earn 5 LP when you fill the card. You can do those using neighbors places if you don't have the bowling alley or the spell casting thing. But cooking is pretty easy.
Also you can watch those silly videos every day. Just click it and do something else, then go to the next one. You can earn Easy LP that way.

I alway ps have my people plant beans because of time and return. Always but seed in the store as they are cheaper so it increases you profit. I think potatoes and some are better return but I forget to get back to them. The silly free peppers are great return if you can stand to do it some evening while you watch a movie. I don't have the patience. Hahahaha

Good luck! Remember to be patient. Don't compare what you are doing to players who have been at it two or three years. The game rules have changed and you are comparing apples to basketballs really. Where they stared and where you are starting is not at all the same so don't get frustrated. Just play YOUR GAME.
