Sim stuck in another town?

I sent my sim to another town and when I was done, I sent them home. Before the sim left I want back to my town and then realized the sim wasn't there yet! I tried to go back to the town where my sim was stuck but the loading page would show up and then the app would close me out. I reloaded the app and it would bring me back to my town and every time I try to go to the town the app closes me out. I have tried to power off my iPad and then turn it back on but it doesn't change anything. I haven't had many problems with sims before and would appreciate any help! Thanks.

Oddly enough i just got a message (see picture below) and the game closed me out. Once I opened the game back up, I see my sim standing there with my dog (who wants to dig treasure） and then the dog digs up one LP. I don't know what just happened... But I like it!

Just happened to me. Tried closing down and reopening, but every time I try and get my sim back the app closes and I get the message 'Sims free play has stopped'. Has any one and ideas before I try and download my (not often enough) saved game.

Just found this on the ea forum: log out of Facebook (my neighbour town was a Facebook friend), close game, restart game and return to neighbour town. Send sim home, log back into Facebook, save to cloud. Worked for me.
