Haunted house available as in-app purchase

I am trying to decide if I should put my haunted house on an empty lot (the only 2 left are over by the car lot, one close to the river and one on the edge of the plat map). I do have a house over by the museum that I could demolish and put it there - if you have a haunted house, are you happy with the lot it's on? If you were able to rebuild it for free, which lot would be your preference (not a premium lot, a regular lot)... Not sure if it's better to kind of hide it on the edge of town or have it right next door to two of my most active families.

from what the others said, the HH can only be built on standard lots and not on the premium ones. If you already bought it with real money, the first HH you'll build is free. after that you have to pay ?? LP depending on how many houses you have already built

Wah! It's not in the store anymore! It was just there. I went to read the rest of this thread and now it's gone! Boohoo!

I just went to go take a look. It was there and now it's not. Wow.

And this is on ios? Strange that they would put it on sale for such a sort time.
If it has disappeared from the store on ios then no hope for Android users on getting it.

As for the location of the Haunted House. I have build mine next to the museum on the edge of town (Museum Boulevard 1). I like it to be on the edge of town, I just imagine there is a big, dark forest next to it to ad to the creepiness.

Mine's at 1 Divers Way. Not ideal behind the pool but on the only basic lot I could use without too much fuss. There isn't a lot of yard space but you can fit the putting green on the back left and you get the extra effect of the graveyard behind the house ready made.
I have a couple in residence , who moved in from my original ghost-hunters' house and I was able to move their dog and cat in with them. Sadly no room for the rabbit pen. Curiously the pets seem to be digging up larger rewards here than at their old house...

Thanks for the responses! I am also leaning toward edge of town, my current HH is there, but I built it early (it's a remodeled Dark Secret) so it didn't cost too much in LP. Next door is Rolanda's Sanctuary, which she just saved from demolition, but my long term plan is to move her closer to town and convert her lot into a little park or campground or something that has lots of trees and minimal buildings. My Sim Cinema and my newly built Space Shuttle are over on Divers Way, so I don't want to demolish those. Probably going to convert the Space Shuttle into a library or science museum or something where kids can hang out - if I get more teens, I might put all the musical instruments there and make it their recording studio, since they can't go to work at the real one. Nobody lives in either of those, but my Sims all do their movie marathons at the cinema. Will make a decision this weekend how weird would it be if I put all of my haunted furniture in the space shuttle for a few days??

They did imply on Facebook that they would do something for thanksgiving...?

I don't see why they just didn't give the haunted house away for Halloween instead of all that junk we got.

I don't see why they just didn't give the haunted house away for Halloween instead of all that junk we got.

I think I am sad because I feel jerked around. I never expected to get it in the first place anymore than I expect a pool cleaner or a singing fish. But than Hayley-Belle got it for Halloween as a glitch, and we all thought it WAS going to be a Halloween reward. After realizing it was a mistake, I again became resigned to not having it. Then I heard it was for sale, but not for my device, and I thought it would be available soon. Now it seems to be gone completely again.

I know it's just a game, and I am embarrassed that not getting a cartoon house is so disappointing. I hope maybe it was a test run, and that it will be back again.

I can totally understand why you'd feel that way. I was really disappointed that they wouldn't give it away as part of the Hallowe'en challenge or at least make it available for LP. I was lucky enough to be able to buy it for for real money and I did, but if I were in your situation (as well as many others) I'd be very upset too. It's really unfair to those that didn't even get a chance to buy it for real money

I feel your pain, and don't be disappointed it's a sign that you are enjoying the game and having fun.

If I could gift you the house I would have. I'm surprised it was out for such a short time. If it wasn't for you guys here and this forum I might have missed it.
