Tempest of Bliss. To build, or not to build....

Post by blackbrit »

I've left the Tempest of Bliss alone as we've had some discussion here that instead of helping our Sim's needs drain more slowly, instead their needs drain faster as we restore this particular monument. Thank you, Tempest of Bliss.

It would be NICE if their needs drained more slowly. Do you think the monument reconstruction is working the way it is supposed to now? I truly don't know. Anybody out there doing an experiment and want to share the results?

Meanwhile, that monument would crumble even more if I had my way. Sadly, I have it built to level 12. But maybe it now does what it says it is intended to do - help our Sims' motives drain more slowly. It would be nice it this is the case.

I'm not to sure to be honest. I don't really notice it depleting quicker, mines only lvl 5 mind you.

I haven't noticed much change in the sims needs. I think mine remains the same. But I don't know, I might not have a high enough level to notice. ;)

I don't think mine have changed for better or worse. My tempest of bliss is at level 6.

I haven't been able to even start collecting for it yet. Almost to level 32 though.

On a side note though I've not gotten ANY gold since they got rid of the Febreeze stuff :( Right not it would cost me 30 LP to be able to get through to the next level on Riches of Terra which I really don't want to spend.

I think some players have it completely rebuilt, but I don't know if those players are on this forum, or if they became my neighbors because of the old FM forum. Level 12 seems to do nothing good, and may be bad.

Riches of Terra at least pays out, but I'm with you about not spending 30 LP on it. I got one gold from planting (garlic, maybe), and I think I got one other gold in the past seven days. It may be the worst to collect right now. Essence of wind is awful to get, too, but I'm not sure I even want it - (as per this topic  ) And then of course pearls are miserable to collect, as is magma.

Yeah that's true. I don't blame you for not wanting to bother if it seems like their needs would drain faster.
And these things being so hard to collect is so annoying. I get them wanting to make it a challenge but geez it's slightly ridiculous the amount of time it takes to collect the harder ones when meanwhile you've got enough of the easy ones to complete like 50,000 levels lol

I got mine up to level 25. I don't notice any difference to the needs drain getting better or worse.

I'm at Level 15 and that turtle shall remain headless. If I could start unbuilding I would. I truly believe it drains... something drains more. it used to be if I kept my Sims busy, planting, reading, doing something they did not deplete. Now they do. Across the board they deplete. If I could not play for a time, I hibernated them and they always awoke in same state. Now they do not. It may be only one or two needs that are down but you still have to mess with it. What's changed? An update and those monuments. Either it was built into the update or it's the damn turtle!
