I've heard too many people say the needs are going down much faster.

I could now start on the temple but I don't want to because I hear too many people say needs are draining too quickly. However, I noticed that my sims' needs were really dropped this morning when they were only unattended for half an hour--they normally would not drop so much in that length of time. I wonder if needs decay quickens once you reach level 32? Not sure what to think at the moment

I wonder if the needs were programed to drain quicker with this update to make us do this task .... i have wasted some lp's on this, but lukily not a lot & will no longer waste lp's. I wish they would do something to help us earn lp's, these seem to be the hardest thing to collect & I feel has got harder with each update.
Always look for the positive

I haven't noticed any increased depletion or decreased for that matter, but the little bars are so small that it's hard to register anything significant.

I'm at 10 on Bliss and 11/12 on the others. Same experience of having a surplus of 2 icons and the 3rd being rare to non-existent! I'm just letting them accrue by natural selection, rather than doing any specific repetitive action.

I've built two 'vacation' houseboats and am waiting to construct a park around the skatepark option. Other than that, the island isn't getting used much - though I may build a 3rd houseboat so I can relocate all 30 sims in an emergency. (That dam on the mainland is a secret worry!)

Haven't built houses near the volcano either.....

I'm surprised I leave home some days... ;)
Distinctly unimpressed with EA.
Actively playing my old game for as long as I can.

Mine's only level 9, but I've never noticed any significant difference in needs either way.

I don't actually mind having their needs deplete a bit more though; it makes it more realistic. I mean, in real life, you wouldn't spend all night gardening without ever needing to go to the bathroom!

I doubt the monument itself causes their needs to deplete. It could be however that part of the update was to make needs deplete more, so that people have to use the monument to compensate. Rather like how the town revenue was suddenly reduced when the monuments (and now the sign) gave us more cash. - It's 6 of one and half-a-dozen of the other.

I think this is probably the case. It seems like their needs sometimes drop a little now even when they are busy. I am betting finishing the monument off will get them back to normal.

Yeah, it must be something to do with the last update. I don't have the monument started yet, but I have noticed needs going down quicker. It would make sense if they adjusted the rate of needs decay to encourage players to build up the monument. But what about those who say they haven't noticed a benefit from their monuments? Could it be the monument just is not working as intended???

I'm really on the fence about building this one. Maybe I'll just hold onto the resources and wait until more people have reported their experiences. I can build it later if it is truly beneficial ;)

This is an interesting point, and one I had not considered. It could very well be what's going on. Needless to say, I don't like these sorts of changes (rule changes in the middle of an ongoing game.) Oh well.

Ahh I did it out of curiosity, I had enough to get me to 4 and hadn't done it just because of what I've read. Now ok definitely losing faster. Unbelievable. I've bad them busy all day and yet they're no longer inspired.

Ohhhh, I love the idea of evacuating your sims via the houseboats incase of emergency! Cool thought!
