Sim Town Sign didn't unlock

Anyone can please let me know if they had this problem and what can I do about it.
I finish the Road to Fame Quest and got all 15 pieces of music and received the 3 lps but the Sim Town Sign didnt unlock.
I got the last 3 notes at a neighbors house and this is the 2nd time I finish it. Do I have to do it all in my own house and not at the neighbors or how many times to I have to get all 15 pieces? Because I click on the start over button 2 times already.

If you mean that you have not yet unlocked the town sign, do you mean that when you look in your town, you can't see a something like this?

If you have it, you have to click the record bubble and you will see that you will be able to upgrade the sign to level 0~

That was what the goal meant when it said that you had already unlocked the sign

I think the problem is that you got the last 3 notes at a neighbors house. It seems these don't count for the 'Road to Fame' quests.
If that is so then you should still have the quest to 'write 15 pieces of music'.
Do you still have that quest?

Yes. All non-neighbour goals have to be completed in your own town. So, when it says "Write 15 pieces of music", it means 15 pieces in your own town. Any you complete in a neighbour's town won't count, and the sign won't unlock until all the relevant goals register as complete.

Yes I still have that quest. I started all over again in my own house because I did get the last 3 at a neighbors. Maybe that was the problem. Thanks for the answer

Wow, I just started everything all over again for the 3rd time. What a waste of time ) I didn't know thanks for the answer. Next time I should still with my own home. Lol Thanks for the answer

I have the sign but am not able to do anything with it. It seems that completing the quest of getting the 15 music notes at a neighbors house is not allowed. So I just have to start over at my own. Thanks for trying to help.

I had the same problem, I posted a thread in here on it.

Not sure what the issue was as I completed my 15 notes in my town with one sim. It finally recognized my goal when I had completed 30 new pieces of music.
