here're some you might want to try...

1) Try adding rooms on 2nd level as well, complete with stairs, that can allow a cat to use.
2) As mentioned by others: Move a Sim, who does not has pet, in the house. Relocate a dog and a cat to this Sim, then relocate the pets out again. After which, move the Sim out. Then try demolish house again.

There has never been a cat or dog at the house before.
I tried reinstalling the game.
I have tried moving a sim in and out.
I tried to demolish the house before I removed all the rooms and it didn't work. Then deleted everything and still not working. Then added a room, stairs & two stories and still not working.
Just tried putting a pet bowl down And calling, and no dogs or cats came.
Then tried relocating a pet there and back again and it let me, but didn't help with demolition.
I think I am forever stuck with a non-demolishable house lot

Another way I can think of is transfer your game to another device and see if you can demolish the house in the other device...

Sounds like a good idea, but I don't have another device might have to see if I can borrow my sisters ipad one day!!

What about the PNV cleaner? (It comes with the 2-storey mansion) nogard0 had problems with them since the last update viewtopic.php?f=3&t=433&p=6627#p6627
I can imagine, the pool cleaner glitch is repeating with the PNV thingies.

There is another player, who had the same problem with the single storey mansion. But I don't know, how it has been solved

So I logged onto my game today after 2 days of real life busy-ness that kept me from my game and a miracle occurred - my house suddenly allowed me to demolish it! No idea what went n but I'm just glad it fixed itself!! Thanks for all of your suggestions!
