Accidentally clicked on house
I FINALLY got the teen mansion unlocked and after figuring out what lot to build it on I was browsing through the potential houses to build. I wanted to see what was different so was scoping out all of the houses and must of pressed to hard when I went to move it to a new grouping. I now have a house being built that I have NO idea of what my finger landed on (I can only estimate it cost over $7 million since that immediately was deducted from my coffers. Much to my horror I am unable to stop/cancel the building process and to add insult to injury I have to wait more than 70 hours for "whatever" to finish building and pick a different lot to build the teen mansion (not to mention the hours I'm sure that will take to build!) They ask you if you're sure about every other transaction it sure would be nice if they asked you if you wanted to spend over that much money! Is it worth it to demolish the house after it is built?

Did you save the game before you started? You can restore the earlier version and you should get your Simoleons back and no house will be in progress, but you will lose any progress you made since the last save,
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

Just reboot and download the last save and it will put you back. You're okay. Uh, you did save recently, right?

I did that once, but I was very lucky... I quickly force-quit the game and restarted it, and fortunately, it "forgot" about the house. I was so relieved!
Probably too late for you now though. But I definitely agree that there needs to be some sort of confirmation before it starts.
I like to browse the houses every now and then just to see if the haunted house has been added (wishful thinking), but I'm always terrified that I'll click on something by mistake! - I now have enough SP saved up to get the Scandanavian House, and the worst thing would be for that to start building and me to discover I had lost all my SP!

Feel your pain. I did that once long ago. It was so frustrating. The wait to see what I'd mistakenly built. I am VERY careful when scrolling houses now. They def should put a confirmation screen on the houses. Since they troll this forum, maybe they'll take heed.

Re: Accidentally clicked on house
The reboot, cloud download worked, but not totally happy because it arbitrarily changed some of the design elements (wall papers and floors, primarily) that I had long ago changesd on some of my houses. Why it would take away the design changes I made months ago, I don't understand and really ticks me off since I'll have to buy the upgrades all over again!

Re: Accidentally clicked on house
Was it a manual cloud save or party boat cloud save? Sometimes they are not as up to date as the ones you do manually. And sometimes the Facebook account saves are not in sync with the Game Center saves if you play on an iPad. I save twice a day, just in case so that hopefully they will overwrite any old saves that are stuck in there.Michi wrote:The reboot, cloud download worked, but not totally happy because it arbitrarily changed some of the design elements (wall papers and floors, primarily) that I had long ago changesd on some of my houses. Good to hear that the restore at least partially worked.
I think we should put in a feature request at the Firemonkey's site for a confirmation screen on building a house.

The save was manual. I find that's the easiest way. I guess it was just one of those things (after all, we see nonsensical things that happen when we're playing the game I guess it's to be expected with a download too
.) I'm still glad we have the ability to even do "saves" though, sometimes my fingers are quicker than my thoughts.
