No LPs for hobbies?

Post by Krock41976 »

So I've completed the woodworking hobby set twice in the past two days, but I'm not getting any LPs for it, only the unlocked items (workbench, dog house). I thought the hobbies were supposed to be a good way to earn quick LPs...?

The workbench and dog house are the initial rewards for woodworking. Subsequently you should get 3 LPs for completing the collection (check your hobby collection/reward) page.

Don't forget the foosball table! You get your own woodworking bench first, then the dog house, then the foosball table, THEN the LPs. I put 4 woodworking benches at one house and all of my wood workers gather there to work when they are not at their jobs. With 3 or 4 of them doing the 4 minute quick practice, you can pretty much fill up the grid every hour, even with the repeats. And you don't have to waste time chasing the dolls at home! They never get away like they can at the community center, so they all count! I used to get so frustrated when the ragtime doll would get away, $500 out the window!
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

My advice, put as many sims as you can spare on woodworking. They are a great way to earn LPs very quickly. I myself have 18. The grid gets filled up every other 4 minute cycle.

Wow that is fast! I have 6 and it seems to take forever. I love my fashion designers cause they give extra LPs, XP and Simoleons bonuses. I have 10 and they get through the collections prett quick

I would prefer fashion design too but I am really not fond of the triple tapping after you're done designing. And with 18 sims, the time you spend triple tapping each and every sims ... . I like figure skating because it doesn't require any tapping at all but it doesn't reward duplicate items so, woodworking it is then.

Don't underestimate the power of the triple taps for Fashion Design and Ghost Hunting, they are extra chances on getting extra LPs too.
Lately Ghost Hunting seems to drop more, so with each grid completing you can have several LPs more. Fashion design a little less.

Tonight I got 8 LPs from fashion designing with 3 sims for about 4 cycles of 4 mins. They just kept coming :)
