Christmas Stuff?

So, for us 'newer' players, since Christmas is coming soon I was wondering if any of our 'older' players could tell us what kind of stuff happened the last couple of years as far as getting Christmas stuff. Was there a challenge to be completed? What type of stuff was available? I have seen a Christmas tree at someone's house. Was there any other type of 'holiday' stuff available? I have the Thanksgiving thing.

Just curious, and kind of excited to see what they might bring to us this year

For Christmas 2012, instead of Osiris crash landing you had Santa crash landing and needing help fixing his sleigh aka Santa Quest. Can't remember the duration now but I think it was over 2 weeks. On completing the quest Santa handed out some presents - the Toddler slide, the preteen basketball court, the mini golf and a dressing table (all free). There were also decorations that you had to purchase - Christmas tree, table decor, Christmas lamps, Christmas doorway, Christmas fireplace and for the outside, snowmen and candy canes. We also had some Christmas wallpaper but needless to say that disappeared if you changed it after Christmas.

I dun think they do much for free anymore....

I have seen houses with some of the stuff you mention though, and it's really nice.

The trailer for the last Christmas update looked really cool! Unfortunately, I didn't complete it

i almost didnt complete it (along with some other iPad players) ... the 2nd day froze and then quit saying "sorry you dint make it... here is a putting green for trying " then FM took my save and did "fixed" something ... 2nd day completed WITHOUT me doing anything and i was able to do the 3rd day on the 5th day or so and complete it.

Did you do the Christmas challenge last year, is that why it's there?
