Toddler in an adult bed?

Can a toddler sleep in a normal single bed or do i have to spend 6000 on a toddler bed? Says i cannot have a birthday to turn into preteen until higher level (only L13 now)

younher sims can sleep in all type of bed, but adult cant sleep on toddler's bed
