Stuck on the road to fame!

I recently found my last note of the teen idol for the road to fame challenge in the time limit it gave me for the PREMIUM items. I found the last note in one of my neighbors houses and when I went home it still said I hade to find the last three notes. I tried singing again but the quest won't finish and now I'm out of time to get the premium items! I don't know how to fix this and want to finish before the Christmas update comes out! Do you guys have any ideas on how to fix this?

It seems that finding notes in neighbour's towns doesn't count to get the free premium items. That's what I've read here on the forums.

Thank you! So does that mean that I have to find the notes at my house again to finish the road to fame quest?

Yes It does. I would suggest making every teen you have idols using the glitch. This way they can all work on the notes you need. The glitch I am referring to is Sending a teen to a neighbors and having them play an instrument. You will see that message saying "you can only have one idol" message appear.. just ignore it and continue on. once your sim has played the instrument at the neighbors and you send it back home it will also be an idol.

Use the keyboard at the neighbor's, it's the shortest time. Then send them home after they finish and have them start playing an instrument or singing at home. I have two teens and they are both "idols" now and have become BFF's (although Cedric keeps flirting with Dora - it's not going anywhere - she's waiting for the werewolf of her dreams to realize she's growing up)
