This is very helpful information, Perturbee; thank you so much for sharing. I had drastically reduced the number of houses and Sims in my town to start fresh with few limits on creating or building if I chose to, so knowing a toddler will be needed or that I must have 7 Sims (1 to invite 6 friends?) is great to know in advance.

I can't remember exactly but I do recall that all the decorations seemed to become available very close to Christmas and I didn't have enough time to decorate all my houses! It would be nice to get them early enough to make the most of them, especially if they cost LP to buy. I don't like having decs up too long after Christmas so would rather have them to get in the festive spirit throughout December
