Day 5 and my Sim is busy helping make presents (4 hours and 12 mins) after talking to Santa. You use a workbench at the North Pole but it doesn't seem to affect your hobby status (my Sim is a ghost hunter!).

Does anyone know how to talk and say hello to an elf on Xmas Island? It keeps bringing up the feet and she crosses her hand and won't go to the elf?

I just finished my first lot of present making and the "say hello to the elf" goal was next. When the goal came up the "Excuse me, hello" option came up on clicking the elf and took 7 minutes. The option disappeared after the goal was completed.

Thanks to Delphine I am halfway though making my second lot of presents for the day.

Got to say I wasn't crazy about having to buy a sleigh in addition to the free one! I tried to use the one I'd earned, even taking it in and out of inventory, moving it, etc to see if that made a difference. But the goal wouldn't clear until I actually purchased one. Did anyone else have that happen? This was with the Day 4 goals.

I tried to use the one I'd earned, even taking it in and out of inventory, moving it, etc to see if that made a difference. But the goal wouldn't clear until I actually purchased one. I did the same. I was keen to get all the presents and rewards as soon as they became available.
It cost me 25LP to buy a second sleigh, because I'd collected the free one too early.

that's funny... the goal completed as soon as I got it because I already have the sleigh out at my house...

Same here, Seamus has had the sleigh sitting in his yard since the first day I earned the free one. The goal came up and cleared itself right away but I was in his yard when I did it - maybe you have to be in the yard with the sleigh when that goal comes up? I have Seamus doing all of my Christmas goals - it's my way of making up to him for torturing him with being a fisher sim.

My sim also refused to talk to the elf. I let her admire the tree and the statues at the door, feed the reindeers, talking to Santa .... she still refused after each other task. Then I whistled over a second sim, and he could talk to the elf while my first sim was chatting with Santa.
