Hello again, I checked last night to see my status on the quest, it appears that yesterday I got the 5th day and it had 7 days remaining, so even though windows phone update got 2 days later (15 Dec) I will still make it all the way to Christmas thanks for the help

That happened to me, as well. I went to another house, then back to the north pole and my sim was then able to talk to the elf.

I've tried everything - they finished making more toys and I got a dollhouse, but it says to try talking to the elf again tomorrow? I sent Sims home, sent different sims, sent enough people to occupy Santa, the reindeer, work on toys and had one trying to approach the elf - finally did the 7 minute thing and was told to come back tomorrow? Is that the goal? To try for 7 minutes and be told to come back because the elf is "in the zone?" I figured I must have finished since I got the doll house, but wasn't sure...
I think, therefore, I Sim! (Or I did before they told me to "harvest" them)

That's it, when you get then dollhouse you have finished the quests for the day.
Day 6 starts with excuse me, hello again with elf for 7 mins plus.
Then talk to elf for 2 hours 8 mins.
Followed by fly sleigh to Peru for 3 hours 12 mins (where I'm currently at).

Is there another missing elf in Peru?? Thank you for giving us a head's up about what to expect. It's been so hectic at work that I'm having trouble timing things to happen on my break and lunch break. How ridiculous is it that I set my alarm an hour early and gave up much needed sleep to be sure my guys were already making toys before I started my commute? I tried to stagger them, too, so that I would have the second one finish 90 minutes after the first one and wouldn't have to wait 4 hours, but I didn't get back to the first one in time and once you open the workshop, all the woodworking stops at once - no bubbles to pop.

Yes the 2nd missing elf is in Peru. Have a look at Perturbee's sneak peek in her blog and on page one for the other days. No toy making on day 6, the remaining task would be talk to Santa.

Yes no gift on day 6, just another elf.
For day 7 I just got a giant nutcracker (like the ones in Santa's workshop), first one free after that 22 LPs. You need to make presents twice, so I started my second Sim after about 2 hours to shorten the total time taken.
