What are you guys talking about when you say you should have bought a teen idol mansion before update? I still haven't gotten my first free one. Is the first one still free even though I have already gotten the update?

Yes, the first one is still free. But it used to cost LPs (around 80 I think) for a second one. Now it cost millions of simoleons. I can't remember precisely how many millions.

I'd have to pay 4.642.500 simoleons. But the price depends on the number of houses you already have. I've got 22 or 23.

Edit: in the meantime I've counted my houses. I've got 24.

This is why I don't have the update yet on my main game.
Started building my first teen mansion yesterday morning, second is almost finished and with a bit of luck I can start my third (and last) this evening. I did need to spend some lp on the first one to finish it early but with 11 woodworkers I will have those back quickly. Decided I want the teen mansion for 80 lp more then all the Thanksgiving stuff. And if I start this evening on the Thanksgiving quest I might still be able to complete this quests in time.

Edit: on my test game it was 2.550.000 with 14 houses build, iirc

You should have no problem completing the thanksgiving quest in time. The longest task there is the bake pumpkin pie one for 10 hours. At the same time you can bake your turkey (for 4 hours) and click on the baked turkey only when the task comes up.

The Teen Idol mansion costs 2.24 million for me with 17 houses built.

My teen mansion on the island just finished but my tv didn't increase (again). Seems to be a normal thing for houses on the island.

Thanks everyone! Im happy with some of the changes, like more Sims, but I hate that the day before the update I wasted 60some LPs to unlock one early! Grrr...just a little FYI from EA woulda been fab! Oh well...I spend enough REAL money on it, I can complain a little, right? Lol

I really wish they would post upgrade notes somewhere that give all the changes. It would be nice to have a complete list.

I have the same problem building on the island, No TV for 2 of the houses. I am afraid to build there now. Might try a cheap LP house with this update.

My TV went up for my free mansion on the island. When I finished the house it bumped me up over the $20 million mark. I haven't moved anybody in yet, because there is no place to garden! I don't know how to modify the pool pavers to allow for a smaller patio area - it keeps asking me if I want to delete the pool (I don't!)
