[SPOILER] Anglers and Mutants quest

So I have one of my Sims almost back up to level 6 to be ready for this challenge. She currently has an almost full set of fish. With the way the quests are set up does it make more sense for her to start with a full set, or a clean slate? I know she will need to do the "catch x number of fish" , but does that mean NEW fish? Or just any fish? I assume she'll need a full set including the mutants to complete the quest, but will fish caught prior to the start of the quest count?

Hope that makes sense, any insight appreciated.

Upon commencement of the quest, fishes that were caught earlier will be removed i.e. the collection will start afresh

Thank you. That's useful to know. I'll return my fisher sim to the arms of his loving family when he's finished this set. How he'll feel, I don 't know. His wife is muttering about a house makeover before Christmas...

Hooray, my fisher sim reached level 6 yesterday !
Since reading this thread he has been living in the park almost all the time. I was amazed at the amount of brown trout he catched.
Now trying to complete the grid a second time so I will have unlocked everything before this quest might start.
But first he is announcing that the end is nigh over in a neighbors park. I guess that's what you get after all this time fishing and being eaten I don't know how many times by a giant fish.

I love the idea of your sim announcing that the end is nigh after being eaten by a giant fish! "The end is nigh!!!! The fish are coming!!!! We are doomed!!!"

That's so funny! My fisher sim finally caught the elusive rainbow trout, so he's giving fishing a rest til the new quest starts. Neither of us are sorry because the Grouch machine was forcing me to turn the sound down, wonderful creation that it is.

This is the second time I had to level him, I swapped him to ghost hunting because he lost all of his skills in the weather update before I realised ice skating would take his skills away!! I wasn't going to bother doing it again but after this announcement I started from scratch. Hopefully he will be done soon!
