Well I just wanted to say that I gave up haha. I only needed 5 tv show cameos and I was working and I suddenly ran out of patience and bought the stupid tv cameos, 15 LPs, now I'm building my free mansion and have two useless teens , I don't feel good with myself haha, but I think I put up a good fight during these 4 (?) months since the teen update so I also feel I deserve my mansion.

Teens are not useless. They can ice skate or dive for XPs, LP, simoleons. If you cannot/don't want to babysit, all the time, let them read from a preteen bookshelf. The long option gives lots of XPs
They can work for several adult goals, so your adult sims can work

If you cannot babysit your sims, give them a longer task Unfortunately the game does not accept teens as babysitter, although they can fill all needs of babies and toddlers.

*Edit: Diving and ice skating delete the teen Idol hobby skills So, if you want to keep them as teen Idols, they cannot do the other hobbies.

Oh yeah sorry, I read it wrong. Yeah, that's what I do with pre-teens when they're not at school, I'll do the same with teens then . My toddlers and babies were always hibernating... I eventually made them pre-teens
