I think the Map could do with a little updating. I am a Tech Wiz, but not to the extreme so if anyone was able to create an updated Town Map for all areas of SimTown, it would be much appreciated.

I'm thinking of updating the map for a while already. But usually real life interferes

If you need to go to the Magical Rainforest for a weekly task, there are pictures at the topic Weekly Quests - .... It's not a map, but may help.

Thank you! I don’t think I ever finished all of the Rainforest so I usually just skip those tasks but I think i’ll check and see how much of them are useable.

I too would be more than happy to update the map but I have no clue how to make one that looks like the nifty ones on the first page. I’m thinking about doing a major revamp of my town and I remember how useful that map was when I did a minor one a few years back.

I’m wondering what the street names people are using for the Downtown section where the penthouses & Hospital workspace are located. I’m getting ready to graph my current batch of houses and want to keep a record of what I built where. I printed out the map from this section of the forum that shows the original town and the island across the bridge and it will cover most of what I need it to do. If anyone knows where to find birds-eye-views of the rest of the areas thanks in advance!

For my Excel spreadsheet to keep track of Sims & their themed houses, I labeled the 3 penthouse templates (2.5/Sanctuary/Lofty) as “1 through 3 Downtown”, like how well-known apartments/penthouses are named in NYC—and I arbitrarily picked which lot is which number lol.

Since the Downtown Developer events, I bumped those old templates to 3 through 6, and labeled DD 3-story penthouses in order of release: 1 Downtown=Luxury 3-story, 2 Downtown=3-story Onyx Towers, 3 Downtown=Oak Avenue.

I look forward to seeing the final updated map—have no qualms updating my spreadsheet to match
